Quakes Loss Reminder of Road Woes

June 2, 2016

The Quakes lost to PTFC last night. They have never won in Portland. Disturbing stats include:

  • San Jose had 14 shots, but just three on target. Abysmal
  • Portland had two shots total, with just one on target. That’s all they needed.
  • San Jose dominated possession 57%-43%
  • San Jose was up a man for the second half, and never scored.
  • San Jose had almost 500 passes (495), an 83% passing rate, zero goals.
  • San Jose generated nine scoring chances to Portland’s two, yet found a way to lose.
  • Portland had one corner, and converted. San Jose had three, and hasn’t converted a corner all season.
  • San Jose had 80+ minutes to find an equalizer.
  • San Jose had a 23 match goal scoring streak coming into the year. We have been shut-out the past two matches. #WheresWondo
  • In seven road games, with 21 points possible, the Quakes have only netted three.
