Seattle Pre-Match Predictions and Free Parking Guide

September 12, 2015

The Quakes are 2-0-0 versus Seattle this season, both wins coming on the road at CenturyLink Field.  We go for the sweep tonight at Avaya.  Seattle will be looking for redemption as valuable playoff spots are on the line.

As of now, three teams are tied for the final playoff spot (Sporting KC, Seattle, and Portland) with Seattle holding the first tie-break with total wins.  The Quakes are three back, and a win would put them in fifth place, pending Sporting KC’s game tomorrow at Orlando.

Seattle will be missing Osvaldo Alonso due to suspension.  DP forward Dempsey is back in full swing, along with Obafemi Martins and recently signed DP/Paraguay national team member Nelson Valdez.

Predictions

I’m predicting Dom goes with the double-pivot 4-4-2 with Godoy and Alashe as the defensive mids, Shea on the left wing, MPG on the right, Wondo and Amarikwa up top.  Defensively I’m guessing Shaun Francis will start at left-back, Wynne will move to Muma’s center-back position alongside Goodson, Cato will start at right-back, and Bingham in goal.

Since we are missing two huge defensive pieces in Muma and Stewart, and since we will have to rely on a slow Shaun Francis versus the speedy Martins, I’m guessing Seattle scores two goals just by having Dempsey and Martins starting in the lineup.  I’m also expecting to score a pair of our own, with Quincy and Shea finding the net in the first and second halves respectively.  Final score prediction: 2-2.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw five or six goals total, though.

See you at Avaya at 7:30pm!!
