It was an ugly draw for the Quakes with a less-than-stellar attendance at Levi’s Stadium against Orlando City SC.
The Quakes seemed to dominate the Lions in every major statistical category, yet could not muster any offense. Dom went back to the 4-3-3 with Wondo playing behind Nyassi for the majority of the match (yes, look at the tape), which allowed him just one shot all game. Enough with the 4-3-3, Dom.
Orlando went up at 64′ when Kaka converted on a PK at after a tough challenge by David Bingham on Cyle Larin–a challenge which Bingham should never have had to made if his defense was playing back enough to cover deep balls. Wondo answered with with 100th MLS goal on his own PK at 68′.
All in all, it was a decent performance, but one in which we need other Quakes to step up. Up next: Toronto FC in Toronto.
