This should be cool. ArcTouch is finishing up an app for the Quakes, which they say should debut before the season opener at Avaya. Translation: there’s still a ton of bugs to fix.
I’m hoping to get a list of features, but at the very least, I’m going to assume that the features shown in the pictures (Tickets, Avaya Stadium, and Parking) will be part of the app, but how will it work?
My guess is that it will give you a code which is easily scanned for transactions. Parking pass? Click! Here you go. Need food? Order it online! Tickets? Right here on my phone, sir! Of course, it will probably also feature Quakes highlight videos, interviews, etc., as well as the latest news. If your stadium is in Silicon Valley, it better have cool technology associated with it, namely a phat smartphone app.
Before the app, the Quakes used Yorder for in-game purchases of food and some merchandise. I loved using it, but then Yorder decided to stop making it functional for the Android platform. With the new app, the Quakes don’t have to worry about a third-party vendor as they can do all transactions through their own app.
